Install Service Invoice Pro

Service Invoice Pro can be installed as an app on your phone, tablet, or computer. After installing, you get a homescreen or desktop icon, a full-screen experience without browser tabs and address bars, and read-only access when you’re offline. Installation is free, takes about 30 seconds, and you can uninstall any time.

On iPhone or iPad

iOS requires you to use Safari — Chrome and Firefox on iOS cannot install web apps.

  1. Open https://app.serviceinvoicepro.com  in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with the upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll down in the share sheet and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Confirm the name (default: “Service Invoice Pro”) and tap Add in the top right.

The icon appears on your home screen. Tap it to launch the app full-screen, just like any other iOS app.

iOS push notifications require iOS 16.4 or later and only work after the app is installed to the home screen. Earlier iOS versions cannot receive push notifications from web apps at all.

On Android

  1. Open https://app.serviceinvoicepro.com  in Chrome (Edge and Samsung Internet also work).
  2. Tap the three-dot menu in the top right.
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm by tapping Install.

The icon lands on your home screen and in your app drawer. You can also drag it to wherever you keep your most-used apps.

You may also see an automatic install prompt at the bottom of the screen the first few times you visit the app — tapping that prompt skips the menu steps.

On Desktop (Chrome, Edge)

  1. Open https://app.serviceinvoicepro.com  in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a small monitor or download-style icon near the right side of the URL).
  3. Click the icon and confirm Install.

The app gets its own window without browser tabs or the address bar, and a desktop shortcut. On Windows it also pins to the Start menu; on macOS it appears in Launchpad.

If you don’t see an install icon, your browser may not meet the install criteria (incognito windows, for example, can’t install apps). Try a regular browser window.

In-App: Settings → Install App

Once you’re signed in, you can find platform-specific install instructions any time at Settings → Install App. That page also shows a one-tap install button on Android and desktop when your browser supports it.

If you’ve already installed, the page detects it and shows a confirmation instead of the install instructions.

Uninstalling

You can remove the app any time without losing any data — your account, invoices, customers, and everything else live on the server.

iPhone/iPad: Long-press the homescreen icon → Remove App → confirm.

Android: Long-press the app icon → Uninstall, or go to Settings → Apps → Service Invoice Pro → Uninstall.

Desktop (Chrome/Edge): Open the installed app, click the three-dot menu in its window, choose Uninstall Service Invoice Pro (or right-click the desktop shortcut → Uninstall).

Common Issues

The install button doesn’t appear in my browser address bar. Some browsers only show the install icon when the page meets all install criteria. Make sure you’re on the main app domain (app.serviceinvoicepro.com), not a settings or login page, and that you’re not using an incognito/private window.

I’m on an iPhone but I don’t see “Add to Home Screen” in the share sheet. You must be using Safari. Chrome and Firefox on iOS look the same as Safari but use a different rendering engine that doesn’t support installation. Open the app in Safari instead.

I installed but the icon disappeared after a few weeks. iOS sometimes clears web app data after long periods of inactivity. Reopen the app in Safari and reinstall — your account data is safe on the server.

The installed app is running an old version. The app updates automatically when a new version deploys, but the update typically applies on your next launch. To force the latest version: close the app, reopen it, and pull down to refresh the screen.
