Deposit Invoices from Estimates

Create a deposit invoice directly from an estimate and apply that payment as credit on final invoicing.

Create a Deposit

  1. Open a sent or accepted estimate.
  2. Click Create Deposit.
  3. Enter the deposit percentage.
  4. Review and save the deposit invoice.

The deposit invoice can then be sent and paid like any other invoice.

Convert the Estimate Later

When you convert the estimate to a standard invoice, paid deposits are automatically credited with a negative line item.

This helps you:

  • Avoid double charging
  • Keep a clear paper trail
  • Show the customer exactly how the final total was calculated
