  3. In Membership Billing, pick or create plan options (monthly or annual pricing).
  4. Save your plan settings.

Step 2: Save a Card for the Customer

  1. Go to Settings > Billing.
  2. In Payment Methods, find the customer.
  3. Click Update Card.
  4. Enter card details and click Save Card.

Step 3: Enable Membership on an Agreement

  1. Open the agreement.
  2. In Membership Billing, pick the plan.
  3. Click Enable Membership.
  4. Confirm.

Step 4: Manage Membership

From the agreement billing card, owners can:

  1. Change Plan (same billing interval).
  2. Pause and Resume.
  3. Cancel At Period End.
  4. Cancel Now.

Plan Change Rules

  1. Monthly-to-monthly or yearly-to-yearly plan changes are supported.
  2. Monthly-to-yearly (or yearly-to-monthly) frequency changes are blocked.
  3. For frequency changes, cancel current membership and re-enroll on the new frequency.

Failed Payment Behavior

If a charge fails:

  1. Membership status moves to Past Due.
  2. Owner gets a payment failed email.
  3. Customer can be notified (if email preferences allow).
  4. Update card and resume normal billing.

Where to Monitor

  1. Agreement detail page: status, next billing date, card-on-file summary.
  2. Dashboard: monthly recurring revenue from active membership agreements.

Membership Billing is a Pro feature.
