Sharing an Estimate
Click Share on the estimate detail page to open the sharing dialog. There are two tabs: Link and Email.
Link Tab
- Click Generate Link to create a secure portal link.
- Click Copy Link to copy it to your clipboard.
- Share the link with your customer via text, email, or any other channel.
The link can be regenerated (which revokes the old one) or revoked entirely. If the customer has viewed the estimate, you’ll see “Customer viewed on [date].”
Email Tab
- Select the customer’s email from the dropdown.
- The subject line is pre-filled (e.g., “Estimate EST-00001 from Your Business”).
- Optionally add a personal message.
- Click Send.
Email rate limits apply: 20 emails per day and 5 per hour. Your account must be at least 7 days old OR have 3 or more invoices/estimates to send emails.
What Happens When You Send
Sending an estimate (via link or email) automatically changes the status from Draft to Sent. A snapshot of your branding and business info is captured at send time, so the estimate looks consistent even if you update your settings later.
