Connecting Stripe

Connect your Stripe account so customers can pay invoices online.

How to Connect

  1. Go to Settings > Payments.
  2. Click Connect with Stripe.
  3. Follow Stripe’s onboarding flow to create a new Stripe account or connect an existing one.
  4. Enter your business details, identity information, and payout bank account when Stripe asks for them.
  5. Finish onboarding and return to Service Invoice Pro.

What the Status Means

Not Connected

You have not started Stripe onboarding yet. Click Connect with Stripe to begin.

Setup Incomplete

You started Stripe onboarding, but Stripe still needs more information before you can accept payments.

Common reasons:

  • Identity verification is still in progress
  • Stripe still needs bank account details
  • Stripe requested additional business documents

When this happens, go back to Settings > Payments and click Complete Setup.

Active

Stripe is fully connected and ready to accept customer payments. On the payments settings page you should see:

  • A connected status banner
  • Your Stripe account ID
  • The connection date
  • An Open Stripe Dashboard button

After You Connect

Once Stripe is active:

  • Sent invoices can show Pay Now in the customer portal
  • Customers can pay by card or ACH bank transfer
  • Paid invoices update automatically after Stripe confirms the payment
  • Funds are deposited by Stripe to your connected bank account

Important Rules

  • Only the account owner can manage Stripe setup.
  • Stripe payments are a Pro-only feature.
  • If Stripe disables or restricts your account, those changes come from Stripe and must be resolved in Stripe.
