Using Checklists
Create checklist templates with different item types, assign them to jobs, and have your team complete them on-site.
Creating a Checklist Template
- Go to Checklists and click Create Template.
- Give the template a name — e.g., “Pre-Mow Safety Check” or “Property Inspection”.
- Add items to the checklist. Each item can be one of three types:
- Checkbox — a simple yes/no check (e.g., “Blades inspected”)
- Text — a field for a written response (e.g., “Describe any damage found”)
- Photo — a prompt to capture a photo (e.g., “Photo of completed work”)
- Click Save.
You can mix item types in any order. A typical inspection checklist might have checkboxes for standard items, a photo item for documentation, and a text item for notes.
Assigning Checklists to Jobs
When creating or editing a job, you can attach one or more checklist templates. The assigned checklists appear on the job detail page for the team member to complete on-site.
Completing a Checklist
Team members complete checklists from the job detail page:
- Open the job and scroll to the Checklists section.
- Work through each item:
- Checkbox items — tap to check off
- Text items — type a response
- Photo items — capture or upload a photo
- Progress is saved automatically as items are completed.
Photo Capture
Photo items allow team members to take pictures directly from the checklist. This is useful for documenting property conditions, completed work, or issues found during inspections.
Photos are stored with the checklist and can be viewed later from the job detail page.
Completion Tracking
Each checklist shows a progress indicator — how many items have been completed out of the total. Jobs with incomplete checklists are easy to spot so nothing gets missed.
PDF Export
Completed checklists can be exported as a PDF. The PDF includes all checklist items with their responses and any captured photos. This is useful for:
- Sharing inspection results with customers
- Keeping records for insurance or compliance
- Documenting property conditions before and after service
