How to Convert
- Open the accepted estimate.
- Click Convert to Invoice.
- A new draft invoice is created with today’s date.
- You’re redirected to the new invoice to review and send it.
What Gets Copied
Everything from the estimate transfers to the new invoice:
- Customer and job
- Line items (or fixed amount/percentage)
- Tax rate and discount
- Terms
- Customer message
Converting Sent Estimates
You can also convert estimates that are Sent but not yet accepted. A warning dialog confirms this is intentional, since the customer hasn’t formally approved the quote.
After Conversion
The estimate status changes to Converted. The estimate detail page shows a link to the new invoice. The invoice is created as a Draft — you’ll need to review and send it separately.
Tips
- Review the invoice after conversion to update the issue date, due date, or any other details.
- The estimate is preserved for your records — it isn’t deleted after conversion.
