Adding a Job to the Calendar
A job appears on the calendar when it has a start date. You can set this in two ways:
- From the job form — set the start date, end date, and duration when creating or editing a job.
- From the calendar — click and drag on the calendar to select a date range, then fill in the new job form with the dates pre-filled.
All-Day vs. Timed Jobs
- All-day — the job spans one or more full days without specific times. Toggle the All Day checkbox on the job form.
- Timed — the job has specific start and end times. Use the date-time pickers or the duration dropdown (30 min, 1 hr, 2 hr, 4 hr, 8 hr, or Custom).
Drag-and-Drop Rescheduling
On desktop, drag any event to a new date or time slot to reschedule it. The job’s start and end dates update automatically.
- Month view — drag to a different day.
- Week/Day view — drag to a different day and time slot.
Resizing Events
In the week and day views, grab the bottom edge of a timed event and drag it up or down to change the end time.
Creating Jobs from the Calendar
Click or click-and-drag on an empty area of the calendar to select a date range. This opens the new job form with the selected dates pre-filled.
On mobile, tap the floating action button (+ icon) in the bottom-right corner to create a new job with today’s date pre-filled.
Viewing Event Details
- Desktop — click an event to see a popover with the job name, customer, status, service address, and assigned team members. Click View Job to open the full job detail page.
- Mobile — tap an event to see a bottom sheet with the same details and a link to the full job page.
Tips
- Use the duration dropdown on the job form for quick scheduling instead of manually setting end times.
- Jobs without start dates don’t appear on the calendar but are still visible in the job list.
- Drag-and-drop is only available on desktop. On mobile, edit the job form to change dates.
