Estimate Photos
Add photos to your estimates to clarify the scope of work. Photos help customers understand exactly what you’re proposing and reduce misunderstandings.
Adding Photos to an Estimate
- Open the estimate you want to add photos to.
- Click Add Photos in the photos section.
- Upload up to 4 photos per estimate.
- Add an optional caption to each photo to explain what it shows.
- Click Save.
What to Photograph
Good estimate photos clarify the work being proposed:
- Before photos — current condition of the area (overgrown lawn, damaged hardscape)
- Problem areas — specific issues that need attention (drainage problems, dead plants)
- Reference images — examples of the finished result you’re proposing (design inspiration, material samples)
- Site measurements — photos showing the area to be worked on with visual context
How Customers See Photos
Estimate photos appear in two places:
- Estimate PDF — photos are included when the estimate is downloaded or printed
- Client Portal — customers viewing the estimate online see the photos alongside the line items
Photos are displayed with their captions, so customers can easily match each photo to the relevant part of the estimate.
Tips
- Show the problem and the solution — a before photo paired with a description of what you’ll do is very effective
- Use captions — a photo without context can be confusing; a brief caption makes it clear
- Keep it professional — clear, well-lit photos reflect well on your business
